Day 24 Intensive Teacher’s Training – Hot House Yoga, Ormond Beach, Florida

What a whirlwind of a weekend – and very rewarding.  There is something to be said about the immersion technique – its like learning a new language its better to immerse yourself into the culture, the survival as well as the day to day activities.  This weekend has been such an immersion.

Today we did yoga almost ALL day – beginning the day with chores (I am still on laundry duty, which has caused me to realize just how much laundry there is to do in hot house and has created the demand for me to add extra laundry facilities inside my house this week!) we went to the outside and taught the series in what I thought was a 60 minute class when in fact it was a 90 minute class…. therefore as I was on the ending series I had to make up 25 minutes of fillers which was fun and exciting!  I couldn’t remember the words at some points so I went on to the next posture.. like “shoulder stand” which I used to refer to as my ANGRY MOMENTS POSTURE.. but now that I have had chiropractic intervention in my neck vertebrates I am feeling less angry and the posture is more fulfilling – eventually I remembered and asked that they get into shoulder stand.

Time, communication, etc all details – what we learned was balance and guiding thru the series within the HHY Beginner’s Series – it was great great great to expand from one posture in round robin to a series and soon to have 2 series.
