Today my catch-up schedule options were given – to officially observe up to 3 beginner’s classes a week.
Heather’s beginners Monday night class at Hot House Yoga, Ormond Beach, FL is usually jam packed – tonight was no exception!
Heather opened the class and Toni took over from 1/2 moon to balancing stick and did a great great job! Her tone was smooth, and her instruction clear – I think she is a great teacher. She used the microphone and her voice was soothing and calm – yet motivational, and I think she is a good teacher indeed. Heather worked thru tree, and I took over, deciding to use the microphone as my voice is loud and I wanted to try being calm and yet projecting loud enough for them to hear.
I told them to go inward that now was their chance to work their core and back — I noticed after savasana that we were further behind so I took locust and moved to full locust after one set and was told to go back and do two sets, I was flustered a bit and mixed something up and just moved on… this was not what Heather wanted to do, so I corrected it and handed the class back over to her later to understand that the final sequence is where she cuts and adds about 10 minutes to the core work which is what her practitioners expected.
This adds to my weekend and yet am grateful for the experience and opportunity.
